Program Design

Project ACCEPT is a short-term elementary program option for students from kindergarten to 6th grade who, for various reasons, have not been successful at their home school. Students are provided the same grade-level content through diversified, innovative, and hands-on learning experiences tailored to their individual learning styles and needs. 

Essential Components

Positive Behavior

  • Therapeutic counseling during the school day;
  • Climate of mutual respect and acceptance;
  • Behavior modification and rewards;
  • Teaching transitions for successful return to home school; and
  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum.

Academic Instruction

  • Personalized, individual instruction;
  • District grade-level standards;
  • Hands-on, diversified learning;
  • Technology-based learning opportunities; and
  • Extended physical education program that includes physical, health, and nutrition instruction.

Successful Transition

  • Intake and exit meetings;
  • Team decision; and 
  • Goals achieved.

Parent Participation

  • Weekly updates;
  • Quarterly parent academies;
  • Parent conferences; and
  • Home visits.
